Autodrome Chaudiere was the hot spot for Wednesday Night’s New England SK Modifieds. Coming into the night the point battle was a heated one as Bobby Ambroceo and Matt Corliss were in a dead heat, with Jim Windrow 3rd only out by 1. The 1st 50 lap feature saw Todd Taylor grab the pole with a 12.908. On the start Bobby Ambroceo and Matt Corliss made there way quickly to the front as Taylor would get hung out to dry on the high side. Ambroceo wouldnt look back as he led all 50 laps to win the 1st feature of the night. Corliss was 2nd, Danny Savary was 3rd, Taylor 4th, and Tim Porde 5th. Race #2 saw a little different outlook. Corliss made some changes to the #28 machine during the break and grabbed the pole for the 2nd event. Leading the 1st 43 laps Corliss seemed to have the race in the bag, but a late race charge by Jim Windrow would oust Corliss from the lead with 7 to go picking up his 1st win of the season. Ambroceo would rebound from the rear of the field to finish a close 2nd with Corliss 3rd, Pourde 4th, and Chad Barcomb 5th. Ambroceo took over control of the point lead by 3 points over Corliss. Windrow is 3rd only 8 out, Pourde 4th 13 out, and Savary 5th, 20 points out of the top spot.
