11/15/12. Weedsport NY. The DIRTcar Series rolled into Cayuga County Speedway on Thursday night. A great crowd gathered as the air was cold. The first big turn of the night was a rare absence of Vermont’s own Jim Windrow. He had made a phone call minutes before the 1st feature event was about to start saying his hauler blew a tire and his lengendary skills and talent wasnt enough to save the trailer from finding its way into a ditch on the side of the road. What sounds to be a complete loss we will keep you updated on Windrows situation. Meanwhile back at the ranch, The Legends 55’s were up first. Point leader Matt Corliss would bring out a few early cautions as you could tell his thoughts were with Windrow. Chad Barcomb would lead 18 of the 30 laps until misfortunes took him out of contention. Newbie Ricky Laduke would emerge to the lead holding off Todd Taylor for the last 10 laps to claim his 1st ever victory. Corliss would dominate the Modified feature with some pressure from Bill Kring. In the Late Models, Barcomb ran a great race until bobbling only to give the lead to Corliss. Corliss would go on to claim the late model checkered flag.
