Alabama’s Talladega Superspeedway opened it’s gates to the SS Thunder Series this week. For the third week in a row, Past Champion ECT Redchevy would earn the pole. At the drop of the green, his returning Hillybilly Racing Teamate Mike Scott would latch on to his bumper where he would stay for most of the race. The B&B Racing boys would be right on their tail. Scott would self spin early, losing the draft but not bringing out the yellow. Luckily, a wreck would occur before the pack ran him down. The green flag would fly again and stay out until the yellow and checkers would come out together. Green flag stops at the halfway mark would determine the outcome of the race. McClure, Scott, and Paglia would come out with the lead. Mobbs would receive a pit road infraction for the second week in a row to separate him from his teammate. BobD and DMAR would hook up but the threesome in the lead would slowly pull away. Bandit, Q and Manny D would run down the pair to form a larger pack but the leaders would pick up several lap cars and would not be challenged. When the checkers flew, it was Redchevy, Swat and Motor City Madman in a line as they had been the entire race. The six car race for fourth would be settled by a last lap wreck. With his third win of the season and bonus points for most laps led, Chuck would pull within two points of leader Bernie. Bruce, having finished a distant fourth would maintain third in points only ten back. With four races to go, this season is far from settled. Join us next week in historic Manassas Virginia.
