Week five and the STT Pickups headed north to New Jersey. Wall Stadium’s high banks would provide some new challenges for the drivers. High speed and tire wear made for a lot of contact with the outside walls.PA’s Cori Bibbus set fastest time in qual for the third week in a row. Due to a schedule conflict, the New England gang were missing and a huge point swing was possible. IROC again proved that out front is safer than mixing it up in the pack. He put the Felty Farms truck out front and stayed there to the checkers. Fighting it out to the end for second, Brian Schilling and everyone’s favorite hillbilly, Chuck McClure, would swap places to the end with Schilling coming out on top. With his win, Bibbus would extend his points lead but everyone below him changed drastically. Next week the series is off for the Helloween 500 preps. We welcome all back in two weeks when we start the New England stint in Windrow Motorsports backyard of Vermont. We’ll see if the tree hugger can regain his spot atop the points.
